Several years ago, I picked up a used zero weight from a buddy of mine. While it may seem like a novelty, you spend a lazy summer afternoon with it in your hand, casting dries to fiesty redsides and you'll be a believer.

My work leases some Forest Service cabins outside of town, and I had to cruise up river to check out some work we were having done. Wrapped that up, and drove on over to the trailhead.

Walked for about an hour, alone on the trail and listening to the river.





River was still pretty cool, with a fair number of bugs out and about - even spotted a golden stone buzzing around.



Caught rainbows on dries for a few hours, and then hoofed it back down the trail to the rig...
