Amy's dad, Steve, and I drove west towards the coast this Sunday. I had asked a friend of mine if he could suggest an area where we could hike in and look for spawners, and per his suggestion we did a little exploring on one of the coastal tributaries.

In addition to numerous salmon, we even saw a few bright winter steelies, and I cannot wait to get out there and swing flies with the 8 weight!
